Working at Lake Vermont. Roster, camp & Reviews

Coal is the commodity at Lake Vermont, an operating mine located in the South East region of Queensland. For FIFO workers weighing up where to put in an application, it sits within one of the state's established coal-producing areas, where extraction typically supports both domestic use and export markets bound for overseas steelmaking and power generation. The operator running Lake Vermont is not publicly listed here, and the specific mining method, whether open cut or underground, is not confirmed in the available information. Coal operations in Queensland commonly involve a mix of excavation, hauling, processing and rail loadout work, so the range of roles on a site like this can span everything from plant operators and diesel fitters to trades, supervision and support staff. It is worth confirming these details directly with the recruiter before you commit. Because the nearest town, camp arrangements and roster pattern are not specified in the current listing, anyone considering this site should treat those as key questions to raise during the hiring process. Queensland's coal regions often mean genuine remoteness and drive-in or fly-in access, so clarifying accommodation standards, shift cycles and travel logistics up front will help you judge whether the lifestyle suits your situation before signing on.
