Working at Dawson. Roster, camp & Reviews

Coal mining is the focus at Dawson, an operating site located in the South East region of Queensland. For FIFO workers weighing up their next move, this is a coal operation in one of the state's established mining areas, where extraction and processing work forms the backbone of day to day activity on site. Queensland coal operations typically involve either open cut or underground methods, and the work can range across mining production, plant processing, maintenance, and the trades and support roles that keep a site running. The specific operating structure and mine type at Dawson are not detailed here, so it is worth confirming those particulars directly with the recruiter or through current job listings before you apply, as they will shape the kind of work on offer and the equipment you would be running. Being situated in South East Queensland, this part of the state tends to sit closer to regional centres than the more remote coal country further north and west, which can influence travel times and the balance between camp based and drive in arrangements. Details on the nearest town, camp facilities and roster patterns are not confirmed for this listing, so ask about accommodation and shift cycles when you make contact, since those factors will matter most for your lifestyle away from site.
