Working at Eva. Roster, camp & Reviews
Located in the North West region of Queensland, the Eva project sits within one of the state's established base metals mining areas. The site is currently at the development stage, which typically means work centres on activities like exploration confirmation, planning, early construction and building out the infrastructure needed before full production begins. For workers, that often translates to roles across civil works, construction, drilling and technical fields rather than the ongoing operational positions found at a mature mine. Base metals cover commodities such as copper, lead, zinc and related minerals, and processing these ores usually involves crushing, grinding and concentration before the material is transported for further refining. The broader North West Queensland region has a long history of base metals activity, so workers heading here can generally expect a genuinely remote setting with the distances and logistics that come with inland Queensland. Details such as the operator, the specific mine type, camp arrangements and roster structure have not been confirmed publicly for this site. Anyone considering applying should clarify those points directly with the recruiter or employer, particularly the camp standard and roster cycle, since these vary considerably across projects and will shape day to day life for FIFO workers based in this part of the state.
