Working at Vickery. Roster, camp & Reviews

Located in the North East of New South Wales, Vickery is a coal operation currently in production. Coal remains one of the state's mainstay commodities, and work on these sites typically spans open cut or underground activities depending on the deposit, covering everything from drill and blast, load and haul, and processing through to maintenance, plant operation and technical support roles. The operator running Vickery has not been confirmed in the available details, so if you are weighing up an application it is worth checking directly with the recruiter or job listing to understand who you would actually be employed by and what the parent company's approach to safety, rosters and career progression looks like. The same applies to the roster pattern and any camp or fly in fly out arrangements, which are not specified here and can make a real difference to how the job fits your life at home. New South Wales coal country generally means regional living, with sites drawing workers from surrounding towns as well as those travelling in for swings. Before committing, it is sensible to confirm the nearest town, accommodation options and how you would get to site, since these practical factors shape day to day life just as much as the work itself.
